West Mountain Regional Health Alliance and Health Solutions West are working together through La Alianza, a collaborative initiative dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of Latino communities throughout the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.<\/p>\n

La Alianza was created after local organizations recognized that many Latino families encounter similar barriers when seeking health care and community support. These can include limited awareness of available resources, language and transportation challenges, difficulty navigating health and social-service systems, and uncertainty or discomfort when asking for help.<\/p>\n

Recognizing that no single organization can address these challenges alone, La Alianza brings organizations, institutions, businesses, community leaders, and residents together to exchange knowledge, build relationships, and coordinate services. Its goal is to help resources reach the people who need them in ways that are accessible, welcoming, and culturally responsive.<\/p>\n

The initiative\u2019s mission is to build a strong, sustainable, and long-term coalition that increases collective impact, reduces systemic gaps, and promotes the health and well-being of Latino communities across the region.<\/p>\n

Current participating organizations include Garfield County Human Services, Garfield County Public Health, Grand River Health, Great Expectations, Health Solutions West, Mountain Family Health Centers, Response, Valley Settlement, Garfield County Public Libraries, Savings Collaborative, El Sol del Valle<\/em>, and West Mountain Regional Health Alliance.<\/p>\n

La Alianza welcomes organizations, businesses, community leaders, and individuals who share its commitment to improving the well-being and quality of life of Spanish-speaking residents. Community members can support the initiative by attending events, sharing information and resources, and building connections that strengthen the region\u2019s social fabric.<\/p>\n

The work of La Alianza benefits the entire community, particularly individuals and families who have historically faced greater obstacles to accessing health care, wellness services, and community support. By connecting people with information and assistance before challenges become crises, La Alianza is helping create a healthier, more resilient, and better-connected region.<\/p>\n

La Alianza naci\u00f3 despu\u00e9s de que varias organizaciones locales identificaran barreras similares entre las familias latinas que buscan atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y apoyo comunitario. Estas barreras pueden incluir el desconocimiento de los recursos disponibles, dificultades con el idioma y el transporte, problemas para navegar los sistemas de salud y servicios sociales, y temor o inseguridad al momento de pedir ayuda.<\/p>\n

Al reconocer que ninguna organizaci\u00f3n puede responder por s\u00ed sola a todos estos desaf\u00edos, La Alianza re\u00fane a organizaciones, instituciones, empresas, l\u00edderes comunitarios y residentes para compartir conocimientos, fortalecer relaciones y coordinar servicios. Su objetivo es ayudar a que los recursos lleguen a quienes m\u00e1s los necesitan de una manera accesible, acogedora y culturalmente sensible.<\/p>\n

La misi\u00f3n de la iniciativa es crear una coalici\u00f3n s\u00f3lida, sostenible y de largo plazo que fortalezca el impacto colectivo, reduzca las brechas sist\u00e9micas y promueva la salud y el bienestar de las comunidades latinas de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
