Services: English Language Development. Individual Tutoring: Adults who want to improve their English skills are assigned to trained volunteer tutors. Tutoring pairs meet one hour a week. Small Group Tutoring: Adults learn practical English from a trained volunteer tutor in weekly classes with 3-9 other learners. Open Hours: Adult English learners meet with trained volunteer tutors in an informal, conversation-based walk-in class, currently offered at the Carbondale Library on Mondays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. This drop-in class is free and open to the public and a great opportunity to start learning English right away. Spanish services.
Cost: Minimal cost $0-$25 depending on program, call for further information.
Eligibility: Any adult immigrant who wishes to learn English. Walk-ins welcome or call to schedule an appointment. Serves Pitkin, Eagle & Garfield counties.
