Services: Parent Mentor Volunteer. The Parent Mentor seeks to build a bridge between Latino families and Roaring Fork School District public schools, by volunteering within the classrooms to support student learning. Volunteers increase families’ self-confidence, develop leadership, create relationships, learn to navigate the school system and advocate for children inside the school system.
Parent Mentors provide extra support in the classroom particularly for students with English as a second language and work with small groups to give assistance with literacy and math. Please remember that you are a role model to follow for the students. For information about the registration process and next steps call or email.
