The Meeting Place

Services: Provides a space for over 30 12-step meetings for substance abuse, disordered eating, and behavioral addictions. We also have free yoga classes weekly for people in recovery from addiction, meetings with free childcare, meditation groups, and other recovery events.

Cost: Free

Eligibility: If you have an issue with substance abuse or any form of addiction, you can go to our website and find a meeting, yoga class, or meditation group that fits your needs!

Great Expectations

Services: Comprehensive, culturally responsive and evidence-based support for expecting and new parents through our four programs; Healthy Families America (pregnancy to preschool), Nurse-Family Partnership (first-time mothers from pregnancy to age 2), Circle of Parents and MotherWise (peer support groups). We provide home visits, parenting guidance, health education, mental health support and community connections using a strengths-based, two-generation approach. Helping parents build confidence and resilience.

Cost: Free

Eligibility: Pregnant women and families with children from birth to preschool age in Garfield, Pitkin, and western Eagle counties. Nurse-Family Partnership specifically serves first-time mothers.

Vail Behavioral Health – Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Services: The use of medications, in combination with counseling and other therapeutic techniques, are used to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Providers can see patients in-person at the Wiegers Mental Health Clinic or remotely via telehealth.

Cost: Accepts Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Insurance. Vail Health Behavioral Health offers financial assistance through partnering with a variety of organizations to assist individuals with financial strain. Call your insurance for coverage and deductible (cost) before appointment then call clinic to see what you qualify for.

Services: Helps Eagle County residents navigate the complex system of behavioral health care and connects people to available resources and services that best meet their needs when they experience barriers to access. Connect with therapists, Access drug and alcohol treatment, Understand treatment options, Connect with an insurance navigator, Explore financial assistance options, Connect to short- or long-term care, Find additional financial alternatives to assist with medical expenses, housing assistance, food assistance, and emergency funding to help with immediate needs.

Vail Behavioral Health – Olivia’s Fund

Services: Financial assistance for youth and uninsured individuals in Eagle County to help pay for mental health services for up to six sessions per person per year. This means in-person or virtual counseling with a therapist is available at no cost to those struggling in our community.
