Services: Alpine Legal Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit civil legal assistance agency dedicated to advance justice in our communities through legal advocacy, outreach and education from Parachute to Aspen since 1987. Spanish services. Serving Eagle, Garfield and Pitkin Counties.

Cost: Free

Eligibility: Services provided for: family law (domestic violence, protection orders, divorce and custody, guardianship for at-risk children), elder law (power of attorney, living wills, elder abuse, guardianships), housing law ( eviction, landlord mediation, homelessness prevention), and immigration law (VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, asylum and special immigrant status.

(Alpine Legal does not provide counsel for criminal defense, debt/bankruptcy, adoptions, employment law/workers compensation, property/real estate/water law, personal injury/malpractice, disability law, tax law or social security/medicaid/medicare or other benefit issues.)

Immigration Response Group (Colorado Virtual Immigration Consultation)

Services: Consultation regarding case status, DACA, TPS or asylum, preparing for court appearances and interpretation of legal communication, assistance with detained loved ones.

Cost: $25 for a one time consultation.

Eligibility: Anyone needing assistance with above. Requires virtual access.

Mountain Dreamers

Services: Immigrant advocacy non-profit serving the Summit and Eagle county regions. Programs include legal services and financial aid, assistance with drivers licenses, green and naturalization cards and tax preparation, community advocacy for housing affordability and against wage theft and labor trafficking as well as providing access to skiing and other outdoor activities. Transitional shelter and assistance for new immigrants as well as English language classes are also offered.

Services: Court Appointed Child Advocates, Supervised Family Time Program and Care for the Caregivers Retreats.

Cost: Supervised Family Time Program offers a sliding scale.

High Country Volunteers Tax Assistance Program

Services: Certified IRS volunteers prepare and e-file Federal and State income taxes for individuals and families with incomes less than $67,000. This program runs February through April 15th. Appointments available in Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and Parachute. Spanish services.

Cost: This program is free of charge.

Eligibility: Individuals and families with incomes less than $67,000. Serves Pitkin, Eagle & Garfield counties.

YouthZone

Services: Comprehensive family assessment, juvenile court advocacy, restorative justice programming, substance use education, mental health services, parent support programming. Spanish services.

Cost: $200 for a three- to six-month program, with a sliding scale based on income.

Eligibility: Adjudicated youth and their families, as well as non-adjudicated youth who are exhibiting risky, disruptive, or criminal behavior. Serves Pitkin, Eagle & Garfield counties.

Catholic Charities

Services: Information, referral, and mediation services for those needed transitional assistance to a new culture. Advocacy and mediation for victims of a crime. Spanish services.

Cost: Free

Eligibility: Residents of Eagle, Pitkin & Garfield counties. Appointments preferred, but can accommodate walk-ins at the Glenwood location. Appointments only at the Eagle and Avon offices.
