Medride

Services: 24/7 non-emergency medical transportation to appointments and prescription pick-up for Medicaid patients, including wheelchair accessible vans.

Cost: Free to Medicaid patients who have no other means of transportation.

Eligibility: Medicaid enrolled patients traveling to a Medicaid Colorado Provider. Restrictions apply if: Other free transportation options are viable, the traveler is a qualified Medicaid beneficiary, special low income Medicare beneficiary, Medicare Qualifying Individual, has an Old Age Pension – state only, or has Emergency Medicaid and Reproductive Health Plan Coverage.

High Mountain Taxi

Services: Medicaid transportation services in Eagle, Garfield and Pitkin counties for non-emergency medical appointments.

Cost: Typically free for covered medical appointments with 48 hour booking prior to appointment, but can depend on deductible.

Eligibility: People who are covered by Medicaid.

Parachute Area Transit System (PATS)

Services: PATS connects local commuters from Parachute and Battlement Mesa to Rifle as well as well as RFTA Hogback service UpValley.

Cost: Single fare and monthly low cost passes available. Senior and Veteran discounted passes. Day fare to driver must be exact change.

Ride Glenwood ON-DEMAND

Services: Request a point-to-point ride anywhere within Glenwood city limits for $1. Spanish services.

Cost: $1

Eligibility: None, anyone can use. Rides can be requested by calling 970-404-4007. Serves Garfield County.

RFTA Paratransit – The Traveler

Services: Shared-ride transportation to persons who live within the service area in Garfield County and have a disability which prevents them from driving or utilizing public transportation. Must schedule ride 48 hours prior to pick-up. Go to website for further information. Spanish services.

Cost: Free but suggested donation of $2 per ride.

Eligibility: An application and assessment process must be completed in order to determine eligibility. Can apply on website.

Downtowner

Services: Door-to-door air-conditioned “taxi van” service within Carbondale town limits. Space for a stroller, wheelchair or a walker and they will even take your dog! Spanish speaker available.

Cost: Free

Eligibility: Anyone 12years or older. 8 people fit in at a time. Just call DOWNTOWNER at 970-504-0054, most rides show up within 10 min. Serves Garfield County.
